Devils’ Crest Anime Reveals 2nd Trailer, New Cast and Soala Ending Song Ahead of November 6

The Devils’ Crest anime has a second trailer, two new cast members and a confirmed ending theme, all revealed on the show’s official website ahead of its November premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

The new promotional video previews the ending song “ReaL” by Soala. It follows the previously announced opening theme, “Shinka” (Evolution) by Ado. The website also named two more cast members: Atsushi Tamaru as Shin Haizaki and Ayumu Murase as Kakeru Niki.

The anime is set to premiere worldwide on November 6 on Amazon Prime Video.

Cast and staff

Shinji Ushiro is the chief director at Production I.G, with directing duties handled by Kenichirō Komaya. Ushiro’s previous work includes Yōkai Watch, Mazica Party and Scum of the Brave, while Komaya has directed Nina the Starry Bride and Kizuna no Allele.

Eiji Umehara is overseeing series scripts. He wrote for Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- and handled series composition on Suicide Squad ISEKAI, which gives the project a writer well versed in high-stakes ensemble stories. Yukiko Horiguchi, the illustrator of the original novels, is designing the characters — an unusual arrangement that should keep the anime close to the source art.

The music is split between Yūki Hayashi, whose credits include My Hero Academia and Haikyu!!, and Naoyuki Chikatani. Production I.G and a soundtrack team of that pedigree point to a show being built for a wide international release rather than a niche one.

What Devils’ Crest is about

The series adapts Reki Kawahara’s Demons’ Crest light novels. Yen Press licensed the books and describes the premise like this: the VRMMORPG Actual Magic traps an entire class of sixth graders in a game of life or death. Eleven-year-old Yuuma and his friends face a classmate turned monster and enormous beasts, with their only hope being the demon Valac, who has possessed Yuuma’s twin sister. Following Valac’s guidance, Yuuma’s party sets out to rescue their missing friend, Nagi.

Kawahara launched the novels with the first volume in November 2022, and Kadokawa released the fourth volume in December 2025. Yen Press brought the third volume to English readers in December 2025. A vertical-scrolling manga adaptation by artist Tomoe and writer Koroku Takano began in Wit Studio’s HykeComic service in November 2022; Kadokawa published the first collected volume in June 2024 and will release the second and third volumes on October 23.

Why it matters

Kawahara is best known for Sword Art Online, a franchise that grew into multiple anime seasons, films and spinoffs. A new Kawahara adaptation arriving on Prime Video is one of the more notable light-novel projects of the season, and the fact that it is being positioned for a simultaneous worldwide release suggests the producers are betting on the author’s existing reach rather than a slow build.

The reveal schedule is also typical of a production tightening its marketing ahead of launch: trailer, theme song and cast in one block, roughly a month out. For viewers deciding what to watch in November, it means the show’s main selling points are now on the record.
