Ave Mujica prima aurora Gets a Second Trailer and the New Song ‘God’s Blood’

The Ave Mujica prima aurora film has a second trailer, and BanG Dream! has released a short video for “God’s Blood,” one of the new songs from it. The track will also appear on the group’s mini-album, which arrives on October 21.

The film is in Japanese theaters now. Nichicaline, the studio behind BanG Dream! Yume∞Mita, is animating it.

What’s new this week

The second trailer went up on Friday. The song video for “God’s Blood” followed on Saturday, which is how this franchise tends to operate: the animation and the music roll out together, each one promoting the other.

A mini-album four days after a song video is a short runway, and it suggests the music side of the project is the priority right now. Ave Mujica works as a band in the real world as well as in the story, so a theatrical film gives both halves something to sell.

The story so far

Ave Mujica: The Die is Cast aired in January 2025, animated by Sanzigen and directed by Kodai Kakimoto. It followed the MyGO!!!!! series that came before it and pushed the same group of girls into worse decisions.

The official synopsis sets the tone better than a summary can:

“Will you give me the rest of your life?” After losing everything in a single night, Sakiko Togawa reaches out toward an even deeper abyss, one that will drag everyone around her down as well. Gathering the lives of girls burdened with their own troubles and desires, Sakiko raises the curtain on a perfect masquerade. “Welcome to the world of Ave Mujica.” On a stage where sorrow, death, fear, love, even the solace of forgetting, are stripped away, will their masks be torn off and shatter into oblivion, or will they…

That is not the register most idol-adjacent anime work in, and it is why the series landed the way it did. Ave Mujica is a band built on control and concealment, and the show treats the masks as a plot device rather than a costume.

A sequel is already coming

A follow-up TV anime, BanG Dream! MyGO!!!!! // Ave Mujica, is set to begin in January 2027. The title puts both groups in the same line, which suggests the two stories are going to collide rather than run in parallel.

That is the part worth paying attention to. MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica were built as opposites: one band falling apart in public, the other holding itself together through secrecy. Putting them in one series raises the obvious question of which approach survives contact with the other.

What prima aurora is doing in the meantime

The film sits between the two TV series as a theatrical release, and the trailers so far have leaned on performance footage and the band’s music rather than plot exposition. For a franchise whose emotional beats happen on stage, that is a reasonable place to put a movie.

Whether prima aurora is required viewing before the January sequel is unclear, and Bandai Namco has not framed it that way. What is clear is the schedule: film now, mini-album on October 21, TV anime in January.

The second trailer is up on the official BanG Dream! channels.
