Bandai Card Games has confirmed that the NARUTO CARD GAME will launch worldwide in June 2027. The release details were laid out at New York Comic Con, alongside the first Starter Decks, a Booster Pack and a demo campaign that will run through 2027. The game had its first public showing at Gen Con earlier this year.
A new teaser was also shown at the panel, featuring original artwork by Studio Pierrot, the studio behind much of the Naruto anime. Bandai also revealed fresh card illustrations during the presentation.
What launches first
Three Starter Decks arrive at launch, built around Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Gaara. Each pre-constructed deck comes with everything needed to start playing and is organised around a different Leader, giving each one its own lineup of ninjas and its own play style.
The first Booster Pack is titled Enter: Naruto Uzumaki! and lands the same month. It draws on characters from both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, adding new ninjas, techniques and other cards meant to expand the Starter Decks and support custom deck building.
How to try it early
Premier Demo Events begin at participating trading card game stores in February 2027. The first wave will run at select large-scale stores taking part in Bandai TCG+, with more locations added later. The events are built to teach the rules before the full release.
Two event-exclusive products were announced as well: an advance-release Official Playmat titled NARUTO VS. SASUKE, and a Premium Card Collection Vol.00 CHAKRA Set. Both will be available through the Premier Demo Events and at select Bandai Card Games Fest 26-27 events, including the Orlando and London stops.
Bandai is also planning a worldwide campaign in Spring 2027 to hand out a total of one million Demo Decks, which gives players another way to learn the game before launch.
Why it matters
Card games tied to big anime licence often sell mainly in Japan first and reach other regions later, sometimes years later. Bandai is skipping that pattern. A simultaneous June 2027 launch means Japanese, North American and European players start on the same decks in the same month, and the demo events in February are designed to have a player base ready before the first booster even ships.
The Pierrot trailer does most of the marketing work here. Bringing in the studio that animated Naruto gives the game a direct visual link to the show, which matters for a licence whose audience grew up with the anime rather than the manga alone. It also keeps the game inside the same creative orbit as the rest of the franchise, which is currently busy.
That activity is worth noting. Kishimoto is working on a new Naruto manga titled Naruto: Shadow Rising, and a new limited anime crossover with Ninku is also in the works. The card game lands into a year where Naruto is already generating news on several fronts, which rarely hurts a launch.
What is still unconfirmed
Bandai has not announced pricing, the exact release day in June, or the full regional breakdown of the initial print run. The next major update is set for Jump Festa 2027 in December, where the company is expected to share more on the launch line-up. The game’s first gameplay details and card designs were shown back in July, so the general direction is already public.
For anyone who wants in early, the practical path is the February demo events rather than a pre-order. Bandai has not opened pre-orders for the Starter Decks or the first Booster Pack yet.
