Netflix has confirmed its October 2026 anime line-up for U.S. subscribers, and it is one of the busiest months the service has had this year. Two returning seasons premiere on the same weekend, a long-waited cyberpunk sequel drops all at once, and the second half of a major franchise run closes out a 26-episode year.

Below is the full schedule as announced so far, based on Netflix’s U.S. listings. Dates are the U.S. release dates, and weekly titles are noted where the platform has said episodes will be released gradually rather than all at once.
October 1 — The Ramparts of Ice Season 2
The month opens with the second season of The Ramparts of Ice. The high school romance follows the introverted Koyuki Hikawa, who gradually forms an unexpected friend group with classmates Miki Azumi, Minato Amamiya and Yota Hino. Season 2 continues their shifting friendships and romantic relationships with new episodes released weekly.
October 3 — Ranma 1/2 Season 3
MAPPA’s Ranma 1/2 remake returns for its third season. Based on Rumiko Takahashi’s manga, the series follows martial artist Ranma Saotome, who transforms into a girl when splashed with cold water after a training accident in China. His curse becomes only one of his problems once he returns to Japan and learns his father has arranged his engagement to fellow martial artist Akane Tendo.
October 3 and 10 — One Piece’s final 2026 episodes
One Piece releases the last two episodes of its current Elbaph Arc run on October 3 and October 10. The Elbaph Arc has taken the Straw Hat Pirates to the long-awaited homeland of the giants, and it marks a significant change for the anime, which stepped away from its nearly year-round weekly production model in 2026.
The October 10 release closes out both the second 13-episode cour and the anime’s 26-episode 2026 run. New episodes will not continue immediately — the show returns in 2027, which we covered in full when the schedule was confirmed. October 4 — Snowball Earth Season 1 (all 13 episodes)
Snowball Earth arrives in its entirety on October 4, bringing all 13 episodes to Netflix at once. The sci-fi anime follows Tetsuo, a young mech pilot who awakens from eight years of cold sleep to discover Earth completely covered in ice and snow. The anime has already been confirmed for a second season, so October is effectively a binge-ready catch-up window.
October 4 — Blue Box Season 2
Blue Box Season 2 also premieres October 4, with new episodes weekly. The sports romance continues the story of badminton player Taiki Inomata and basketball star Chinatsu Kano.
Season 2 will look noticeably different behind the scenes: Daisuke Sako takes over as director and Electric Circus handles animation, replacing Season 1’s Yuichiro Yano and Telecom Animation Film. Netflix has highlighted the series as one of its major romance anime returns for the month, and the staff change makes it one of the more interesting productions to watch this season.
October 20 — Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 (all 10 episodes)
The month’s biggest single-day anime drop lands later in October. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 arrives October 20 with all 10 episodes available immediately, marking the anime’s return to Night City four years after its first season.
Rather than continuing David Martinez’s completed story, the new installment follows a different group of Edgerunners, including former Night City legend Weak Kingsley, nomad D, corpo-turned-Edgerunner Talia and young documentarian Roman. October 25 — My Happy Marriage special episodes
My Happy Marriage follows on October 25 with three special episodes set after Season 2. Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudou are now preparing for their wedding, offering another look at the couple while the series has yet to announce a full third season. Netflix has confirmed that all three episodes will arrive together.
Continuing through October
Two of Netflix’s biggest currently airing anime also run through the month.
- JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run releases new episodes every Friday, following Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli through the cross-country Steel Ball Run race. The current run began September 25 and covers the second and third stages, with 11 weekly episodes planned. The second stage sends the pair across a roughly 750-mile desert containing the mysterious Devil’s Palm as the race grows more dangerous.
- Daemons of the Shadow Realm continues every Saturday. Based on the manga by Fullmetal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa, the fantasy series follows twins Yuru and Asa, whose separation and mysterious origins draw them into a conflict involving supernatural beings known as Daemons. Its weekly Netflix run is expected to continue through December.
Why this month matters
October is unusually front-loaded. Netflix is stacking its two biggest romance returns — Ranma 1/2 and Blue Box — on the same weekend, then holding Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 back as an event drop on October 20. The One Piece schedule also makes October the end of an era for the year: for the first time in a long while, the anime will simply stop for a season rather than roll into new episodes.
Two things are worth noting for anyone planning a watchlist. First, the platform is mixing release models within the same month — weekly for Ranma 1/2, Blue Box, JoJo’s and Daemons of the Shadow Realm, and full-season drops for Snowball Earth, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 and the My Happy Marriage specials. Second, Snowball Earth and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 are the two titles most worth catching up on, since both already have either a confirmed continuation or a self-contained structure that rewards binge viewing.
