Keishi Ayasato’s Seijo Seisen -Taizai Yūsha to Omoide no Majo- light novel series is getting a manga adaptation. Manga creator Sasami Kamone announced on September 26, 2026, that they will handle the art for the adaptation, which is set to run on the “Suiyōbi wa Mattari Dash X Comic” page of the Nico Nico Seiga website “soon.”
Kamone shared the news through their own social account, and Shueisha, which publishes the novels under its Dash X Bunko imprint, has not yet announced a specific start date for the manga.
What Seijo Seisen is about
The story begins with a boy named Tōma Kurashiki, whose death sends him into another world as its summoned hero. He meets the girl who summoned him and rejects her, instead taking the hand of Adel Eustophoria, a saintess hunted as a witch, and fleeing with her.
From Adel, Tōma learns that thirteen saintesses in this world are locked in a fight to kill one another until only one remains — a conflict referred to as the “Saintess Holy War.” The leading saintess is Misha, the very girl who summoned Tōma. Unbeknownst to the world, Tōma has been granted a unique power by the gods that could overturn the whole contest.
The novel series so far
Ayasato launched the first Seijo Seisen novel in June 2025 under Shueisha’s Dash X Bunko imprint, with illustrations by Genyaky. The second volume shipped on February 20, 2026. That is a fairly quick path from novel launch to a manga adaptation, which suggests the publisher sees momentum in the series.
The “Suiyōbi wa Mattari Dash X Comic” page sits under Shueisha’s Dash X label on Nico Nico Seiga, a web manga platform. It is a digital-first home for manga tied to the imprint’s novels and original titles, and the adaptation will share a label identity with its source novels.
Why Ayasato’s name matters
Ayasato is a prolific light novel and manga writer with several titles already in English. Yen Press is releasing the author’s The Bride of Demise light novel series and the Torture Princess – Fremd Torturchen novels, and Yen Press also licensed Hina Yamato’s manga adaptation of the latter, shipping an omnibus volume in 2019.
Ayasato has been active across several publishers recently. The author and Ko-dai launched the manga Noblesse Gambit: Fukushū Reijō wa Odoru, Hanzaikyō to no Danzai Yūgi in Kadokawa’s Comic Alive magazine on August 27. Ayasato also launched Hitokui Oni no Hanayome on Kodansha’s Palcy app in November 2024, ended it on April 30, moved it to Kodansha’s ARTEMIS by sirius magazine in May 2025, and saw its fourth and final compiled volume ship on May 29. Separately, Ayasato and Iseebi Boil launched the supernatural mystery yuri manga Nekonome Yūka wa Kataru Bekarazu in Hakusensha’s Young Animal Zero magazine in September 2025, with the first volume published on June 29, 2026.
Why it matters
Manga adaptations remain one of the most reliable ways for a light novel to find a wider audience, particularly when the source is recent and still building its readership. Pairing an established name like Ayasato with an artist and a digital platform keeps the cost of testing the series low while putting it in front of readers who already follow the imprint.
Adaptation announcements have been a frequent thread this month, including Looks like a Job for a Maid! light novels getting a TV anime and the revival of Despera as a manga in 2027. We will update this story when Shueisha or Kamone confirms a start date for the adaptation.
