Negi Haruba’s Go! Go! Loser Ranger! returned in this year’s 43rd issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine on Thursday, ending a hiatus that began on July 8 because of the author’s health.
The break had originally been expected to end in August, so the resumption came later than first announced. The series is now back in the magazine and continues toward the conclusion of the story arc it entered earlier this year.
Second hiatus, second return
This was not the manga’s first pause in 2026. The series entered a hiatus on February 18 and came back on March 18, at which point it moved into its final arc. The July break was announced separately and tied specifically to Haruba’s health, with no firm return date given at the time beyond the August estimate.
What the series is
Go! Go! Loser Ranger! is published in Japan as Sentai Daishikkaku. It starts from a premise that flips the usual sentai setup: the invading monsters were actually subjugated within a year and are now forced to produce a new monster each week for the Dragon Rangers to defeat in front of cheering audiences. One monster decides he has had enough and sets out to bring the Rangers down from the inside.
Haruba, known for The Quintessential Quintuplets, launched the ongoing manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in February 2021. Kodansha USA Publishing handles the English release.
Anime history

Two seasons, both simulcast internationally on Disney+, have made the anime the main entry point for a lot of readers, and the manga’s final arc gives that audience a finite stretch of story to follow.
Why it matters
Manga hiatuses for health reasons have become common enough that readers tend to watch the calendar closely, and this one ran about two and a half months past the initial estimate. A confirmed return, rather than another extension, is the outcome fans were waiting for.
Because the series is already in its final arc, every resumed chapter moves the story closer to its end. For anime viewers who came in through Disney+, the manga is now the place to be if they want to reach the ending before any further adaptation.
Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine also carries Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail Re:Fantasia, which reaches its own conclusion in the magazine’s 44th issue on September 30.
