Hiragi-san’s House of Vampires Manga Gets a TV Anime From UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS

Miki Yoshikawa’s vampire comedy is getting an anime. A new official website opened on Saturday and confirmed that Hiragi-san’s House of Vampires, known in Japan as Hiiragi-san no Kyūketsu Jijō, is being adapted for television by UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS. The site came online with a single key visual and nothing else.

No premiere date, no staff list, no cast. That is normal for the first day of an adaptation announcement, and it means the useful information right now is what the show is, where the manga stands, and who is making it.

What we know about the Hiragi-san’s House of Vampires anime

The source material is Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine, where Yoshikawa launched the series in October 2021. Six collected volumes are out; the sixth shipped in November 2025. Before the serialization, Yoshikawa drew a one-shot version of the story in 2019, built around the same idea of a family comedy. Kodansha’s K MANGA service handles the English release.

For English readers the pitch from K MANGA goes like this. Shota Minamoto is a junior-high student and an orphan living in a children’s home. A family takes him in, and they live in a large Japanese-style estate, and they are warm enough that he starts to relax. Then he finds out the household is hiding something the outside world is not supposed to know. The publisher calls it a cozy, bloody love comedy.

That combination is the whole hook. Vampires in a domestic setting, played for comedy, with a kid who has no family of his own dropped into a family that has too much of a secret.

TMS and the studio behind it

TMS is one of the oldest animation studios in Japan, and the name on most people’s minds is Detective Conan, which it has animated for decades. Lupin III is the other long-running franchise in its catalog. UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS is a newer production label under that roof, and putting a Bessatsu Shōnen title there rather than in the main studio suggests a smaller, more targeted production.

Yoshikawa is the bigger draw for a chunk of the audience. A Couple of Cuckoos, her previous long serialization, ran in Weekly Shōnen Magazine and got a television anime in 2022. That adaptation is the reason a lot of readers will click on this announcement at all, and it sets a reasonable expectation for how the comedy will be handled.

Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine has been unusually busy with adaptations lately. Attack on Titan started there. So did A Silent Voice. It is a monthly magazine with a small lineup, and when one of its titles gets greenlit it tends to get a real production rather than a promotional short.

What is still missing

There is also a timing question worth flagging as speculation, not fact. A television anime usually trails its source by a couple of years at minimum, and with six volumes out and the series still running, TMS has enough material to adapt a single cour without catching up. That fits the 2027 window most of these announcements are landing in, but nobody has said 2027 out loud. Treat any date you see this week as invented unless it comes from the official site or the show’s X account.

What is confirmed: the studio, the manga’s publication history, the English publisher and the premise. What is not: everything a viewer actually needs to decide whether to watch.

We will update this page when the official site adds a date, a staff list or a trailer. For now the visual is the only artifact, and it is worth a look if you want to guess the art direction before the first promo drops.

Vampire anime are having a stretch. The Record of a Fallen Vampire is also getting a television adaptation in 2027, and we covered that announcement. On the manga side, Babanba Banban Vampire is heading into its final stage with a fifteenth volume in December.
