The One Piece Mugiwara Store Los Angeles opens on November 6, and it is the first permanent branch of the official One Piece store chain in the United States. It sits inside the Westfield Century City shopping center.
Getting in during the first week takes planning. From November 6 to 12, entry is limited to people who reserved a slot in advance, and reservations open on October 22. After November 12 the store opens to the public, though the staff’s own wording leaves room for disappointment: walk-in guests may be accommodated based on capacity, and entry through the standby line is not guaranteed.
The franchise shared the details on October 10. It first announced the Los Angeles branch back in July.
What is being sold
The store will carry exclusive merchandise rather than the standard catalogue. The confirmed lineup includes shirts, hoodies, mugs, a tote bag, stickers, figures, acrylic bag charms, magnets, clear cards, art pieces, key chains, an accessory tray and wrapping cloth.
Prices have not been announced. That is the detail worth waiting for, since a permanent shop in a mall like Century City will set its own pricing rather than inheriting convention-booth rates.
This is not the first time
Toei Animation brought a One Piece Mugiwara Store pop-up to its Anime Expo booth in 2024. That was a temporary shop floor inside a convention hall. A permanent store in a Los Angeles mall is a different proposition: staff, stock, restocking and regular hours, all of it running continuously.
The Mugiwara Store chain has operated in Japan for years and has been the main physical retail outlet for One Piece goods there. Bringing that model to the US matches what other large franchises have been attempting, though most of them have gone through pop-ups and licensed retail partners rather than opening branded shops of their own.
Why a store and not a pop-up
One Piece is at an unusual point. The anime closes out 2026 with episode 1180 and returns in 2027, which leaves a gap in the broadcast. That gap is exactly when a franchise needs somewhere else for fans to spend attention, and a store opening in November lands inside it.
There is a practical side too. Anime retail in North America has mostly been convention-driven, with stock appearing for a weekend and then vanishing. A permanent location removes some of the scarcity that pushes resale prices up on exclusive items. If Los Angeles works, more US branches become an easy next step.
If you are going
Reserve on October 22 if you want the opening week. Do not count on walking in between November 6 and 12, because reservations are the only route in during that window.
After November 12, arrive early and expect a line. “Based on capacity and availability” is the language stores use when the queue is longer than the building.
The store is at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles. No other US location has been named, and no online store tied to this opening has been confirmed, so anyone outside the city has nothing to order from yet.
